Privacy and cookies

This policy applies to the public website at reloov.com. It explains both personal-data processing and the website’s use of cookies and browser storage. It does not describe a future iPhone app, whose data practices will be documented separately before release.

2. What the website processes
- Public assessments: answers are processed in your browser. Derived results are kept temporarily in browser
sessionStorage; the website does not send them to a Reloov account or database. - Technical data: the hosting and security infrastructure may process IP address, request time, browser information, error details, and security signals needed to deliver and protect the website.
- Analytics: Reloov uses self-hosted Umami analytics to understand page views and funnel events. It is not used for advertising or cross-site profiling.
- Contact data: if you email us, we process your address, message, and any information you choose to include so we can respond.
The public website has no user account, web subscription checkout, chat history, journal storage, upload, or server-side assessment history.
3. Cookies and browser storage
The website uses sessionStorage to keep a derived assessment result available during the current browser session. This information stays on your device, does not create an assessment history, and can be removed by closing the session or clearing site data.
The website may also store a short-lived technical marker used only to recover from a stale application file after a deployment.
Reloov loads self-hosted Umami analytics to measure page views and funnel events. Hosting, security, and error-monitoring providers may use strictly necessary technical mechanisms to deliver and protect the website. The public website does not use authentication or payment cookies.
4. Purposes and legal bases
We process technical data to deliver and secure the website on the basis of our legitimate interests. We process support messages to answer your request and, where relevant, take steps you ask for. Analytics is used to understand and improve the website, subject to applicable consent requirements.
5. Recipients and transfers
Data may be processed by providers used for website hosting, content delivery, security, error monitoring, analytics, and email. We do not sell personal data. Where a provider processes data outside the EEA, we use an applicable transfer mechanism and data-minimisation measures.
6. Retention
Browser assessment results last for the browser session or until you clear site data. Technical and security logs are retained only as reasonably needed for reliability, abuse prevention, and incident investigation. Contact messages are kept as long as needed to answer and maintain a reasonable support record.
7. Your rights
Subject to GDPR conditions, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis and complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority.

8. Your browser controls
You can inspect, block, or delete cookies and browser storage in your browser settings. Blocking essential storage may prevent an assessment result from remaining available as you move between its pages.
9. Security, children, and updates
We use technical and organisational measures intended to protect the website. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Reloov is intended for adults and is not knowingly offered to children.
